「Rules」

“Rules are the faith of atheists”
You aim for a perfect, straight shot, but the ball
moves unpredictably—spinning, drifting, looping, reversing,
even pulled by invisible magnetic force.
This is an experiment in subverting physical laws,
where magnetic fields, uneven mass, internal fluids,
and unstable surface, conspire to create a world of disorder.
Physics has long sought to define the ultimate laws governing the world,
formulating a universe that promises predictability with mathematics and logic.
Yet, this billiards game deconstructs classic rules and reveals the “open-world problem”,
a reminder that the complexity of the world can never be fully exhausted.
AI, robotics, and even science rely on measurable, modelable systems.
But when rules are broken, can we still find new understanding within uncertainty?
Science is an approximation of reality, not reality itself.
Let’s reflect on the world’s mechanisms amidst the collapse of established rules.
